Northampton: Historical society hosts garage sale

Siegfried Railroad Station, home of the Northampton Area Historical Society, will have its fall garage sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 29 at the station, 21st Street (Route 329).

The society is accepting donations for the garage sale. Donations will be accepted at the station 6-8 p.m. Sept. 27 and 28.

Anyone wishing to help with the sale is asked to call 610-262-8198.

Don’t forget to pick up your preordered mums 8-11 a.m. that morning. There will be extra mums available for sale.

Pink-Pumpkins’ Coins 4 Chemo will be held 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 30 at Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club, 2110 Canal St.

Proceeds of this indoor flea market and basket social will benefit patients in treatment. Homemade baked goods will be available for purchase.

Northampton Boy Scout Troop 93 is having a spaghetti dinner 4-7 p.m. Oct. 6 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 105 E. 19th St.

In addition to the pasta meal, salad, drinks and dessert are included. There is a cost. Children age 6 and under can eat for free.

St. John’s Friendly Fifties group will meet 1 p.m. Oct. 8 in St. John’s social hall, 1343 Newport Ave.

Emil Schanta will entertain.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet 11 a.m. Oct. 10 at Northampton Banquet & Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Bill Frye will entertain. Refreshments will be provided.

Tickets will be on sale for the group’s annual Christmas party during the October and November meetings. Those planning to attend the party must have a ticket.
