Parkland cross country earns sweep at tri-meet

The Parkland boys and girls cross country teams each picked up three wins on Tuesday to improve to 5-1 on the season.

The boys beat all three of their opponents in convincing fashion: Stroudsburg (24-33), East Stroudsburg North (15-50) and East Stroudsburg South (15-50). Nicholas Bower (17:05) and Riley Williamson (17:06) placed first and second, respectively, to lead everyone. Four of their teammates also placed in the top 10 to pace the Trojans: Nate Reimer (6th, 17:58), Ethan Warren (7th, 18:03), Jacob Ringer (8th, 18:03) and Logan Iacobelli (10th, 18:04).

The girls’ side had little trouble as well, disposing of Stroudsburg (15-48), East Stroudsburg North (15-50) and East Stroudsburg South (15-48). Six Lady Trojans crossed the finish line before anyone else did, led by Madison Zaun’s time of 20:41. Ava Bendetti (2nd, 21:10), Erin Wood (3rd, 21:12), Julianna Elsesser (4th, 21:30), Lily Goense (5th, 21:35) and Kiley Krasley (6th, 21:38) followed.
