UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP Many activities offered in community

Upper Macungie Township is hosting pickup volleyball under the direction of Rich Kiser 8-10 p.m. Tuesdays until March 28 at Fogelsville Elementary School, 312 S. Route 100, Fogelsville.

All levels of skill are welcome. Must be 14 years of age to participate.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is hosting “Games We Love” 1-2:30 p.m. Feb. 17.

Everyone is invited to have fun playing bridge, pinochle, canasta or chess.

The library is hosting a Mardi Gras Celebration 10:30 a.m. Feb. 18.

Hear a story and decorate Mardi Gras masks.

Baby Time story time for kids birth to 2 years old will be offered from 10:30-11 a.m. Feb. 20 and 27.

Kids and their caregivers can enjoy favorite picture books, rhymes and songs.

The library staff will be showing the movie “My Favorite Wife” during its Brown Bag Classic program 1 p.m. Feb. 20.

Bring a bag lunch. Beverages will be provided.

There will be a drop-in STEMM program for kids ages 3-7 at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 20.

Book Quest will meet 7-8 p.m. Feb. 21 to discuss the novel “All the Stars in the Heavens” by Adriana Trigiani.

Toddler story time for kids 18 months to 3 years old is scheduled for 10:30-11 a.m. Feb. 22 and 23.

There will be stories, songs and rhymes.

Preschool story time for kids age 3 to 5 will be 1-1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 and 23.

A caregiver must remain in the library.

Unleash your creativity at the Joy of Coloring for adults 3 p.m. Feb. 22.

Snacks will be provided.

Bring knitting materials and spend an afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks with the Knitting Circle 2-4 p.m. Feb. 23.

For knitters of all ages and skill levels.

Join the library’s What’s your Story writing workshop 3 p.m. Feb. 28.

Learn how to write a memoir.

Storyteller Kathy Long will bring Hess’s nostalgia, artifacts and history come alive at the library’s Remembering Hess’s program 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28.

Reservations are needed to attend Games We Love, Mardi Gras Celebration, Brown Bag Classic, writing workshop, preschool story time, Joy of Coloring and Remembering Hess’s.

All programs are free.

Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, Lenten gatherings will begin on Ash Wednesday March 1 with services at noon and 7 p.m.

Soup will be served in the fellowship room following the noon service, and at 6 p.m. prior to the 7 p.m. worship service.

Communion will be served by Intinction.
