Swim teams beat Rovers, Huskeis

The Parkland swim team swept its past two meets as the boys and girls teams remain undefeated at 6-0 overall.

Parkland girls beat Easton last Thursday, 125-61.

The Trojans swept the relays against the Red Rovers. The 200 medley relay team of Lauren Krause, Courtney Sicinski, Briana Zaffiro and Nicole Nesland took first place. The winning 200 freestyle relay team consisted of Kayleigh Frisch, Grace Kennedy, Courtney Sicinski and Megan Sicinski. Parkland’s 400 freestyle relay team of Lauren Ceh, Sheilagh Farrell, Kira Colarusso and Zaffiro finished of the girls meet with a win.

In individual events Counrtney Sicinski won the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke for Parkland. Teammates Laurel Krause (50 free), Kaitlyn Smykowski (diving), Lauren Ceh (100 free), Megan Sicinski (500 free).

Parkland’s boys team beat the Red Rovers 128-57.

The Trojan boys won all three relays. The team of James Connolly, Bar Maymon, Mathew Engler and Hyunbin Kim took the 200 medley relay to open the meet. The foursome of Matthew Ceh, Adam Kucharczuk, Bar Maymon, and Charles Villan won the 200 freestyle relay. And the 400 free relay was won by Matthew Ceh, Kucharczuk, Bar Maymon and Villano.

In individual events, Engler won the 200 free and 100 free, while teammate Matthew Ceh was victorious in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly and James Connolly took first place in the 500 free and 100 breaststroke. Other event winner from Parkland were Chris Lehman (diving) and Kim (100 backstroke).

The Trojans beat Dieruff on Tuesday with the boys winning 126-54 and the girls cruising to a 148-54 victory.

In the boys meet, Parkland again swept the relays.

The 200 MR was won by James Zhang, Kucharczuk, Matthew Ceh and Devin Thurber. The 200 free relay was won by Matthew Ceh, Bar Maymon, Zhang and Kim, while the foursome of Matthew Ceh, Kucharczuk, Bar Mayon, and Kim finished the meet with a victory.

In individual events, Kim won the 50 free and 100 butterfly, while teammates Chris Lehman (diving), Zhang (100 free), Matthew Ceh (500 free), Noam Maymon (100 backstroke) and Engler (100 breaststroke) won one event each.

In the girls meet, Parkland’s winning relay foursomes were Farrell, Rane Sailee, Zaffiro and Krause in the 200 MR; Lauren Ceh, Farrell, Krause and Zaffiro in the 200 free relay; and Sailee, Rane Shefaleee, Frisch and Sophi Stevenson in the 400 free relay.

Individual event winners were Farell (200 free, 500 free), Sailee (100 back, 100 breast), Krause (50 free, 100 free), Grace Newell (200 IM) and Lexi Lehman (diving).
