Look for the new road signs in Lehigh Township. Approved by supervisors, two road signs have been placed around the township to raise awareness of Lehigh Township Historical Centre and St. Paul’s Schoolhouse.
At St. Paul’s Schoolhouse, on Almond Road, there is a historical marker, which was installed in 2011, to the left of the historic schoolhouse. The 1865 schoolhouse was restored by Lehigh Township Historical Society and was opened as a museum in 2010. The historical marker, green with white lettering, describes its historical significance in the township. The new road sign, installed below it, displays a picture of the schoolhouse, visitor information and the phone number to reach Lehigh Township Historical Society.
There is a road sign near Lehigh Township Historical Centre with its phone number, and at some sites, there is a post with the two signs attached.
Thanks to the sponsors of these attractive signs for Lehigh Township. With these two newly installed signs, attention will be drawn to these two important buildings in the township and will give important information for visitors to reach the society for any tour, event, meeting, etc.
Although both buildings are closed for the regular open house season, you can make a special appointment by calling 610-440-0151.

American Red Cross encourages individuals and organizations to give something meaningful this winter by making a lifesaving blood donation. Blood donations decline during the holidays when holiday festivities pull people away from their donation appointments. Seasonal illnesses, such as colds and flus, also can have a serious impact on blood donations, as well as postponed drives while people are traveling for the holidays. Furthermore, severe winter weather also may cause scheduled blood drives to be canceled.
Despite the busy holiday season and threat of extreme freezing weather, the need for blood remains steady. Donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with O negative, B negative, A negative and AB blood types.
Visit giveapint.org to create your donor profile and schedule your appointment. Use sponsor code 0288 or call Helene Mery at 610-837-0792. Walk-ins also are welcome.
