The following is Lehigh Valley Press area scores from games of Thursday, Oct. 13.

BOYS SOCCER

Liberty-Freedom

The Hurricanes scored three first-half goals to beat the Patriots 3-0.

Xander Kang had a goal and an assist. Valentin Perevalov and Wilmer Aleman also scored goals, while Sammy Abiles had the other assist.

Liberty’s Jone Hess (3) and Peyton Virgillo (2) combined for five saves. Freedom’s Andrew Flynn stopped 17 shots.

Whitehall-Parkland

The Trojans beat the Zephyrs 6-2.

Parkland goals were scored by Cavan Geiger (2), Zayer Imam, Dawson Berger, Conley Hochstetler and Bryce Evans. Assists went to Kishan Modessa, Evans, Josh Kiser and Aneesh Kapoor.

Allen-Emmaus

The Hornets beat the Vikings 2-0.

Kacper Grycel and Jonathan Herberlin scored goals for Emmaus. Dakota Bauer had an assist.

The Vikings out-shot the Hornets 5-4 and held a 9-4 advantage in corners. Emmaus’ Dylan Sosnow made five saves. Central’s Matt Sagl made two saves.

Northwestern-Catasauqua

Kenneth Gawelko’s four goals highlighted Northwestern’s 12-0 Colonial League win over Catasauqua.

Andrew Goodolf, Caleb Danner, Leighton Gift, Samuel Seyfried, Bryce Hurdle, Connor Winter, Noah Meyers and Justin Searcy also scored for the Tigers.

Southern Lehigh-Salisbury

Ethan Heydt scored two goals as the Falcons beat the Spartans 4-1.

James Hadinger also scored for Salisbury, which also recorded an own goal. Assists went to Heydt, Patrick Adams and Mason Groff.

Falcon goal keeper Tyler Keller stoped 12 shots as his team improved to 16-0-2 overall and 10-0-2 in Colonial League play. The

GIRLS SOCCER

Catasauqua-Northwestern

Northwestern rolled to an 8-0 win over Catasauqua.

Sara Hathaway and Karlie Bardonner scored two goals apiece for the Tigers. Abby Chisdak, Maggie Motolese, Logan Collins and Emilee Yacynych also scored.

Motolese and Hathaway both added a pair of assists, while Logan Collins also had a helper.

Southern Lehigh-Salisbury

The Spartans beat the Falcons 1-0.

Kristen Cocozza scored the game’s only goal, assisted by Izzy Diaz.

Salisbury’s Kyra Brun made five saves in goal, while Ellie Cassel stopped six shots for Southern Lehigh.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Whitehall-Parkland

The Trojan beat Whitehall 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-17).

Sam Graver had 12 kills and seven digs for Parkland. Teammates Morgan Sherwin (28 assists), Grace Steurer (8 kills), Megan Shaw (10 digs, 3 aces) and Mia Jago (6 kills, 3 blocks) also contributed for the Trojans.

Parkland won the JV game 2-0 (25-12, 25-20).

Freedom-Liberty

The Hurricanes beat the Patriots 3-0 (27-25, 25-14, 25-29).

Freedom’s Courtney Turocy had 20 assists and 11 digs. Teammate Hailey Silfies had eight kills. Julia Roman had six digs, five kills and five service points.

Northwestern-Catasauqua

The Tigers beat the Rough Riders 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-10).

No other information about the match was received by the Press.

Nazareth-Northampton

The Eagles swept the Kids in volleyball. Emily Quinn had a big game for Nazareth with 25 assists, 15 digs and 2 aces to lead the way.

FIELD HOCKEY

Freedom-Liberty

The Liberty field hockey team used three, second half goals to beat the Patriots 3-0.

McKenna Burkhardt scored first for the Hurricanes off an assist from Eleni Prodes at 20:36.

Prodes would score next at 14:44 on an assist from Sadi Abboud at 14:44.

Sammy Taylor scored unassisted for the third goal at 9:11.

Liberty had a big day against Freedom on Thursday to close out the regular season schedule.
