Moore Township: Community Days set for Aug. 26, 27
Moore Township will hold its Community Days celebration Aug. 26 and 27 at the recreation center, Monocacy Drive and English Road. There will be food from local nonprofits, live music, a 5-K race, tractor parade and fireworks display.
On Friday, the event will take place 3-10 p.m. On Saturday, the 5-K race starts 9:30 a.m., and the event continues until a little after 10 p.m. for the fireworks display.

Additionally, Moore Township Historical Commission will offer bus tours of important sites in the township during the Community Days celebration noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 27.
There is a cost; children under 12 will be free but must be accompanied by an adult.
The commission also will be offering a 2017 picture calendar as a fundraiser. The calendar will include old photos of the township and will be sold at the tour ticket table during Community Days.
