Moore Township: Salem UCC to hold peach festival Saturday

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, Bath, is having its annual peach festival 3-9 p.m. Aug. 13. There will be live music, games, food and more.

Also coming up at Salem UCC, there will be a flea market 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 20. Vendors are wanted.

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, located at 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville, is hosting its annual country festival 3-9 p.m. Aug. 20. There will be music, food and games for children and adults of all ages.

The Majestics will provide the entertainment 5-9 p.m.

A cake walk is planned, along with a raffle with 101 prizes. There also will be a Chinese raffle with many great prizes.

Rain date is noon-6 p.m. Aug. 21.

Moorestown Garden Club is having its annual flower show 4-8 p.m. Aug. 20 and noon-4 p.m. Aug. 21. The title of this year’s show is “The Fabulous Fifties Flower Show.”

Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Nazareth, is having dinner and a movie night Aug. 20. Dinner will be 6 p.m., and the movie will begin 7 p.m.

Also, Holy Cross will be holding an outdoor worship service beginning 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28. Following the service, there will be a picnic.

Moore Township will hold its second annual Community Days celebration Aug. 26 and 27. There will be food from local nonprofits, live music, a 5-K race and fireworks display.

On Friday, the event will take place 3-10 p.m. On Saturday, the 5-K race starts 9:30 a.m., and the event continues until a little after 10 p.m. for the fireworks display.

Moore Township Historical Commission will offer bus tours of important sites in the township during the Community Days celebration. There is a cost; children under 12 are free but must be accompanied by an adult.

The tours will be held noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 27.

The commission also will be offering a 2017 picture calendar as a fundraiser. The calendar will include old photos of the township and will be sold at the tour ticket table during Community Days.
