Allen/East Allen townships: Fundraiser planned for Outcast Rescue
A charity pool tournament fundraiser will be held Aug. 6 at Lappawinzo Fish & Game Protective Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township.
This annual event is organized by Sunday Pool League, a not-for-profit organization currently consisting of more than 100 local members throughout the Lehigh Valley. Proceeds benefit a local cause or organization each year.
This year, proceeds will be donated to Outcast Rescue.
Outcast is a rescue specializing in pit bulls and rottweilers. The group teams up with local shelters to help lower the amount of adoptable dogs sitting in shelters. They are a group of all volunteers who love to educate people on these often-misunderstood breeds.
There is a cost for the double-elimination tournament. Registration starts 1 p.m., and the tournament begins 1:30 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded to the winner.
Other highlights of the day include a Chinese auction, 50/50 tickets and raffles.
The event is open to those 21 years and older. Playing in the tournament is not required to attend the event.
Local business supporters include Instattoosionalized, Daku’s Auto Body Shop, King Kone, Blue Monkey Sports Restaurant, The Colony Meadery, Samuel Owens Restaurant & Bar, Santa Fe Taco Co., Redner’s Warehouse Markets, Blue Mountain Resort, Crazy K’s Entertainment & Photo Booth Services, DJ Statik, Franklin Hill Vineyards, Northampton Seafood Market, Tanczos Beverages, Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Spring Hill Golf & Batting Cages, Kornfeind’s Market, Blondies Cupcakes, Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, Pet Supplies Plus and Lamm’s Machine Inc.
