Shoppers will enjoy the sounds of Christmas carols for Christmas in July at Bath Farmers Market, Keystone Park, Route 329 and Green Street, 3-7 p.m. July 22.

The market will provide free snow for the kids - snow cones, that is. And any shopper who shows up in an ugly sweater can stop by the market booth for a free Bath Farmers Market T-shirt, available in a variety of colors and sizes.

Guests also are encouraged to celebrate the Christmas spirit by bringing a canned food item to donate to Bath Food Bank.

For updates and information, follow the market at facebook.com/bathfarmersmarketpa.

Also, the market is now accepting SNAP and offering double SNAP to help provide access to fresh, locally produced foods to those most in need. Area residents who are signed up for the USDA supplemental nutrition assistance program can come to the booth on any farmers market Friday to use their access electronic benefits cards.

For a complete list of SNAP-eligible items, visit fns.usda.gov/snap/eligible-food-items.

During the month of July, Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be helping Bath Food Bank by collecting canned vegetables and cleaning supplies. The bank is no longer accepting tomato soup, Jell-O or pudding.

Grocery gift cards (preferably Ahart’s) are needed for emergencies. Drop off all gift cards in an envelope marked “food bank” on the church secretary’s desk or give them to one of the pastors.
