Softball season comes to an end

The Eastern Pennsylvania Conference recently announced its all-stars for the 2016 season.

Whitehall led the way with three first team selections as well as the player of the year selection and coach of the year selection as well.

Kay Solderitch was named first team pitcher as well as most valuable player. The Zephs Alexis Berg-Townsend was named coach of the year.

Julia Solderitch and Mackenzie Guzy were also named to the first team for the Zephs.

The Konkrete Kids didn’t have a first or second team selection this season, and their campaign came to an end last Thursday in a 5-1 loss to the Zephyrs on the road.

With the win, Whitehall advanced to the semifinals held Tuesday where they defeated Freedom 5-3.

Rachel Spanitz led the way for Whitehall in the win over the Kids going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Cara Bonshak also doubled for Whitehall. The Kids only managed three hits off Kay Solderitch, one of which was a Brandi Davidson double.
