If you never tried kayaking and would like to learn, the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Team River RunnerÕs, are hosting introductory sessions. One will be held at a local swimming pool on May 15 (location to be announced) and another at Leaser Lake on May 22.

Team River Runner (TRR) is currently recruiting disabled veterans and civilians for a try at kayaking. According to TRR, adaptive paddling equipment is available to allow people of all abilities to enjoy the serenity of paddling. And with the addition of the newly installed handicapped launch ramp at Leaser, it makes the sport that much easier and enjoyable.

CABELAÕS HOMETOWN HEROES CELEBRATION

All active military, reserve, veterans, law-enforcement, firefighters, rescue and EMS personnel, are invited to CabelaÕs May 21 and 22 for their Hero Days and to be honored for their service and volunteer hours. On hand those days will be a number of local military and medical organizations giving demoÕs and seminars of their services.
