All Trojans advance in EPC Tournament

The Eastern Pennsylvania Conference began its annual postseason tennis tournament last week. The event began Thursday with pigtails, first round and quarterfinal matches. Saturday’s semifinals and title matches were postponed to Monday, May 2 back at Pocono Mountain East High School.

Parkland players were seed first in every bracket and they went undefeated on the first day of the tournament.

At No. 1 singles, Nick Kshatri won his first two matches by scores of 8-1 and 8-0.

At No. 2 singles, Parkland’s Nate Lyman earned a pair of wins by scores of 8-0 and 8-2.

The Trojans’ Aneesh Kapoor competed at No. 3 singles and beat his opponents 8-0 and 8-5.

At No. 2 doubles, Nick Hawk and Alex Wu advanced to the semifinals with wins by the scores of 8-0 and 8-1.

Parkland’s No. 3 doubles team of Kishan Unjia and Alex Son won their first two matches 8-2 and 8-0.

The Trojans’ No. 4 doubles team of Jesse Hance and Kokai Chao won their opening matches 8-1 and 8-0.
