Paul Behum

Paul “Botch” Thomas Behum, 86, of Walnutport and formerly of Catasauqa, died March 6, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Doris May (Schmidt) Behum for 65 years.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Kolumber) Behum.

He was a 1947 graduate of Catasauqua High School where he played football, basketball and legion baseball.

He was a press operator and worked in other positions for 33 years at General Electric and five years at Black and Decker until he retired.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Church of the Annunciation BVM, Catasauqua.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Theresa and her husband Gregory Klucharich; two sons, Paul Jr. and Thomas; seven grandchildren, Todd, Michael and his wife Alicia, Gregory and his wife Laura, Kelly and her husband Travis Beck, Christina and her husband Paul Kauth, Jessica and her husband Matt Collins and Katie Klucharich; five great-grandchildren, Kara and Bryn Klucharich and Charlotte, Margot and McKenna Beck; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Stephen, Joseph, Andrew and Frank; and five sisters, Anna, Mary, Helen, Agnes and Margaret.

There will be a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m., both March 10 at the church, 122 Union St., Catasauqua, 18032.
