Whitehall Food Pantry is in need of turkeys or donations to purchase them.

The pantry serves more than 45 families every Monday.

Previously, the pantry provided turkeys to those in need the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This year, volunteers will be handing out turkeys each Monday when participants come to the pantry.

Any individual wanting to donate a turkey can bring the donation to the pantry 5 p.m. any Monday before Thanksgiving.

A monetary donation is also appreciated. Make your donation payable to Whitehall Food Pantry and mailed to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, c/o Whitehall Food Pantry, 3900 Mechanicsville Road, Whitehall, PA 18052.

Additionally, Coplay Food Bank feeds approximately 25 families the second Tuesday of each month. The bank provides smaller families (one to three members) chickens and larger families (four or more members) turkeys.

You may also drop off your chicken or turkey donation to Sandy at Coplay Borough Hall 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays before Nov. 10.
