The Northampton Area Food Bank will hold its annual garage sale Saturday, June 6, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., outside the food bank facility, 1601 Canal St.

Spaces are available for rent. Call Barbara Budnik at 610-262-6156.

A bake sale will be held. Coffee, doughnuts, hot dogs and cold drinks will be available for purchase.

The Quota Club of Northampton will hold a yard sale on June 6, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., rain or shine, at the pavilion at Canal Park.

The Friends of the Northampton Area Public Library will be running a bus trip to "Art of the Brick" exhibit at Franklin Institute on Friday, June 19.

The ticket price includes the bus, driver's tip and admission to the Franklin Institute. For cost and other information, call the library at 610-262-7537.

The Friends group will be holding a Hampton Lanes fundraiser on Sunday, June 28, 1-3 p.m.

A ticket includes two hours of bowling and shoe rental.

The Northampton Area Public Library will be holding its annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 6, 9 a.m.-noon.

There will be sign-ups for summer children's programs, sand art, prizes and Rita's Italian Ice.

The event is free and open to the public.

The library's next meeting of the book discussion group will be held Wednesday, May 27, 6:30 p.m.

This month's book will be "In the sanctuary of outcasts" by Neil White. Copies are available at the library.

The group is open to the public.

The annual Wynne-wood Estates family garage sale will be held Saturday, May 23, 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

More than 50 families will again be participating .

To get there, travel east on 10th Street from Main Street. Turn left onto Atlas Lane and continue to Buckingham Drive.

Mayor Thomas Reenock proclaimed last week, May 11-15, as National Police Week in the borough and recognized the "dedicated officers and former K-9 Zoro."

He also encouraged residents to welcome Officer Michael Buchanan and K-9 Vito to the community.
