According to unofficial results from the Lehigh County Voter Registration Office, Republican incumbent Sean Gill garnered 561 votes in Tuesday's primary for a six-year term on the Upper Macungie Township Board of Supervisors. Former supervisor Ed Earley, also a Republican, received an unofficial 217 votes.
Gill's name will appear on the Republican ticket in the Nov. 3 Municipal Election.
There were no candidates listed on the Democrat side of the ticket in the primary.
Gill, who was appointed to the board in December 2014, following the death of Supervisor Sam Ashmar, is completing Ashmar's term, which would have ended in January 2016.
