Parkland's school board has announced the appointment of Lori A. Seier as director of food services.

Seier has served as supervisor of food services with the Northwestern Lehigh School District since 2006.

She will replace Todd Holmes, who vacated the position to fulfill a role in private industry late last year.

Her responsibilities included working closely with other district personnel to ensure compliance with regulations and to provide the appropriate nutritional experience for students of all grade levels.

Before working for Northwestern, she was director of food services in the Schuylkill Valley School District for eight years.

Seier served in other food service positions since 1991 and earned a dietary manager certification in 1995 from the University of Florida.

"Ms. Seier brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position," District Superintendent Richard Sniscak said. "She will add value to our team and contribute a great deal to both the food services department and Parkland's overall mission."
