Good Cause: It's time for 65th annual Symphony Ball

"Cirque du Soirée" is the theme for the 65th annual Symphony Ball, beginning with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, 6 p.m. Feb. 7, Lehigh Country Club, Allentown.

The theme for the black-tie gala references the "Cirque do la Symphonie" performances with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, 8 p.m. Feb. 14 and 3 p.m. Feb. 15, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown.

Guests may bid on two separate auctions and will enjoy dinner and dessert, followed by dancing to the music of Back2Life.

Attendees receive a certificate for a ticket to a Miller Symphony Hall production.

Honorary Chairs for the gala are Cathy and Scott Fainor.

"Cookie Crunch": Attendees will enjoy dishes and desserts created by area restaurants and eateries featuring one of the eight Girl Scout Cookie brands at the "Girl Scout Cookie Crunch," 1 - 3 p.m. Feb. 8, ArtsQuest Center, SteelStacks, Bethlehem.

Guests may visit the restaurants' tables to sample the different offerings, talk to chefs and vote for their favorite for the People's Choice Award. Music entertainment will be provided by singer-songwriter Lizanne Knott.

Attendees will receive one box of Thanks A-Lots, a Girl Scout cookie noting its 10th anniversary this year.

"Fab" benefit: The Fab Four Yesterday: A Tribute to the Beatles begins with a wine and cheese reception, 7 p.m., with the concert at 8 p.m. Feb. 7, Jewish Community Center of Allentown, 702 N. 22nd St., Allentown.

Proceeds benefit JCC scholarships for early childhood education and camp programs.
