Parkland Garden Club honored two area residents during the annual convention of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania.

Leah Wenhold of Upper Macungie Township was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

Her parents, Darlene and Randy, accepted the scholarship for her.

The "Silver Seal Award," the highest award to be presented to a non-garden club member, was presented to Sue Tantsits of Edge of the Woods Native Plant Nursery, Orefield, for her many contributions to community youth groups and furthering the goals of garden clubs, Girl Scouts, Lehigh Gap Nature Center and Hawk Mountain by her expertise with native plants.
