The July meeting of Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will be held Wednesday, July 9, at the Northampton Memorial Community Center, Laubach Avenue and 16th Street.

The doors open at noon.

An acoustic duo will entertain.

Refreshments will be provided.

The Northampton Area Public Library and Appalachian Creations Inc. have teamed up to refurbish the entrance landscape of the library building, 1615 Laubach Ave. If you want to help, as an individual, member of a community service group or business, call 484-239-3918.

The Atlas Cement Company Memorial Museum will be open Sundays, July 13 and 27, 1-3 p.m.

Located at 1401 Laubach Ave., the museum will remain open each second and fourth Sunday of the month through September.

Community Days will be held July 9-12 at Municipal Park, Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue. Hours are Wednesday through Friday, 6-9:30 p.m., and Saturday, 4-11 p.m.

Schisler Funeral Home will be celebrating its 85th anniversary. Stop by the booth to receive a free commemorative mug and birch beer on July 9 and 10. Free refills will be offered, while supplies last.

Fireworks will be held Saturday night.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1235 Main St., will hold A Liturgy for a National Holiday on Sunday, July 6, 9 a.m.

Pastor Stanley Trout will be the presiding minister.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to wear red, white and blue for this occasion.

St. John's Friendly Fifties will have its annual picnic, rain or shine, on Monday, July 7, noon-5 p.m., at the 26th Street Playground.
