Millets completes basic training

Amber Millets has completed her basic training for the Army National Guard at Fort Jackson, S. C., on April 3.

She is currently at Fort Rucker, Ala., for her advanced training in 15H aircraft pneudraulics.

Millets is a 2012 graduate of Whitehall High School. She is a student at Rutgers University, and took a year off to join the Army National Guard.

Millets is the daughter of James Millets of Coplay and Michelle Williams of Whitehall. Her stepparents are Gwen Millets and Dave Williams.

Joyner graduates from basic training

Air Force Airman James W. Joyner graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Joyner is the son of Sherri Joyner of Catasauqua, Pa. and James Joyner of Las Vegas, Nev.

He is a 2013 graduate of Catasauqua High School.

Ortiz graduates from basica training

Airman Christian C. Ortiz graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Ortiz is the son of Stephen Ortiz of Whitehall and is a 2013 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He is a 2010 graduate of Catasauqua High School.

Palencar graduates from basic training

Air Force Reserve Airman John Palencar graduated from basic military training at joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Palencar is the son of John Palencar of Northampton and the son of Fran Mory, brother of Zack Mory and grandson of Salvatore Graziano, all of Allentown.

He is a 2009 graduate of William Allen High School, Allentown.
