The Fountain Hill Exchange Club held its Scholarship and Officer Induction dinner May 14 at the Republican Club in Fountain Hill. The Fountain Hill American Legion cosponsored the scholarships we give to our students and enabled an increase of the funds to $2,000 each. The scholarship winner sponsored by the Exchange Club is Abby Frankenfield, a student at Liberty HS. She will attend North Carolina University with a major in environmental and marine science. The scholarship winner sponsored by the Fountain Hill American Legion is Mariah Kondravy, also a student at Liberty HS. Mariah will attend the University of Delaware and major in medical diagnostics, and will also play softball for the University. The Fountain Hill Exchange Club is a community service organization that underscores the importance and expense of students to further their education. The Fountain Hill Exchange Club and the Fountain Hill American Legion would like to congratulate Abby and Mariah and wish them the very best in their future.
