Holy Trinity Orthodox Catholic Church, 1023 Fifth St., North Catasauqua, is taking orders for kielbasi for Easter.

The cost is $7 per pound.

Deadline to order is Wednesday, April 2.

Holy Trinity is also taking orders for freshly baked Paskas for Easter.

The cost is $8 each.

The Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., will hold a 1/2 price sale Monday, March 17 through Saturday, March 29. The sale includes everything in the store unless marked otherwise.

The shop will close for housecleaning and changeover the week of March 31 and will reopen Monday, April 7 with new clothing for spring and summer.

Proceeds from the thrift shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

Donations of good, used and clean clothing are gratefully accepted during store operation hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday.

North Catasauqua and Catasauqua will celebrate July 4th this year with a gala celebration at the North Catasauqua Playground Saturday, July 5, ending with fireworks at dusk.

The J4 Committee is asking for donations to help with the cost of the fireworks.

Anyone who gives a donation of $200 or more will be listed on the J4 flier as a special donor. Those who donate between $100 and $199 will be listed as a Red Patron, those who give $50 to $99 will be listed as a White Patron and those who give $49 and under will be listed as a Blue Patron.

Please make checks payable to the J4 Committee and send them to J4 Committee, PO Box 212, Catasauqua, PA 18032.

If your donation is received by April 11 your name will be listed in the J4 flier. If received after April 11, your name will be listed on a poster at the J4 Celebration.

Also, the J4 Committee will meet Wednesday, April 2, 7 p.m. at the Catasauqua American Legion Post 215 to plan the celebration. Anyone interested is welcome to attend the meeting.
