Circus comes to Sunshine Center Preschool
The Sunshine Center Preschool Circus was in town Jan. 30 and 31 at Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville.
Under the Big Top, Ringmaster Patricia Elliott announced the acts for the one-ring circus.
The elephants, led by Laurie Rex, included Abigail Handsborough, Maddox Hurdle, Cordelia Hiestand, Logan Heeps and Lucas Fisher.
These pachyderms performed tricks only they are able do.
Ribbon twirlers Miley Divers, Sophia Benckini, Skylar Kiss, Graylea Knight and Gracie Zettlemoyer dazzled the crowds with their colorful ribbons.
Norah Wichterman and Alexa George pranced around the ring as horses displaying their fancy footwork.
All eyes focused on the tightrope high above the crowd. There Sarai Wellington, Gaurav Perugu, Rithik Soman, Emery Hurdle, Reese Macaulay and Ava Schulley did a high-wire act, without a net.
The magic of Alivia Fox, along with lovely assistant Allison Roth, amazed the audience with two reappearing tricks.
Jumping to great heights on the trampoline were Allison Roth, Frank Fritzinger, Sofhie Villalobos, Samantha Villalobos and Avery and Addison Zane.
There was a lot of monkeying around when James Apgar took to the stage on his scooter.
Jugglers Chayce Eberly, Gage Delong and Tanner Fronina amazed all with their skills of juggling rings, balls, bowling pins and oranges.
Flexing their muscles and making the crowd "Ooh and Aah" were the strongmen Ian Zettlemoyer, Preston Hurdle and Gavin Kreiser lifting weights of more than 5,000 pounds.
Of course everyone's favorite were the clowns with their water guns, tricks and confetti.
Bouncing in with the fun was Daniel Yearick, William Wichterman, Owen Kiss, Gage Bishop, Shaelyn Brannan, Landon Gauweiler and Logan Fisher.
Showing off their gymnastic talents were Marina Breininger and Keira Sell as they performed on the center ring mat.
Last but certainly not least were the ferocious cats being tamed by Diane Hemerly, who risked her head by putting it in the lion's mouths of Matthew Tripp, Brandon Gonzalez, Nolan Koehler, Coltyn Unger, Rowan Dresh, Alexander Campbell and Moses Eastman.
Lions and tigers were led out from their cage to jump through hoops and hoops of fire and do a lot of growling.
This circus culminated the month-long unit on the circus.
