Fire Calls
JANUARY 22
· Station 37 assisted Emergency Medical Services with lifting at 1240 Washington Street, 3:54 p.m.
· A fire alarm at Bonefish Grill at Lehigh Valley Mall Lifestyle Center (set off by a garbage can), brought out Stations 36, 37 and 38, 11:09 p.m.
JANUARY 23
· A request for cellar pumping at several addresses on Third Street in the Cementon area after a water main break in the street, brought out Stations 39 and 40, 2:37 a.m.
· Mutual aid to the Coplay Fire Department for a working house fire at 18 South Second Street. The tenant was trying to thaw frozen water lines under the sink and the fire got into the wall with the first alarm being Stations 5 and 38 and the second alarm being Station 39 and 40 with Station 37 on standby at Station 39, 6:20 a.m.
· A reported gas smell at Dyalisis Center at Sixth and Sumner Avenue, brought out Stations 36 and 37 (wrong location was in South Whitehall), 8:18 p.m.
· Stations 35, 36, 39 and 40 responded to a dryer fire at 4889 MacArthur Road and found the fire to be out. Checked for fire extension. Male resident's hands were burned and he was taken to the hospital, 9:43 p.m.
JANUARY 24
· A reported odor coming from the basement and found to be an oil burner malfunction at 5411 Hillside Avenue with no carbon monoxide detected, brought out Stations 35 39 and 40, 2:23 a.m.
· Station 36 assisted police with a ladder at 706 Pennsylvania Street to assist a person in a crawl space, 10:50 a.m.
· A reported broken water line outside of 4535 Main Street with water going into the house next door, brought out Station 39, 3:36 p.m.
JANUARY 25
· A waterflow alarm at Century Packaging, 5217 Kemmerer Street (found to be a sprinkler system that went from dry to wet), brought out Stations 39 and 40, 6:26 a.m.
· Station 37 responded to a pedestrian struck near 1817 Presidential Drive, 3:02 p.m.
JANUARY 26
· An electrical fire at the MacArthur Road Coin Laundry, 2191 MacArthur Road, brought out Stations 36 and 37, 12:20 p.m.
· A fire alarm at Fellowship Manor, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Kauffman Court (found to be a cooking accident), brought out Stations 36, 37 and 38, 6:19 p.m.
JANUARY 27
· A fire alarm at Fellowship Terrace, 3010 Fellowship Drive (set off by construction dust), brought out Stations 36, 37 and 38, 11:25 a.m.
· Stations 35, 38 and 39 responded to a reported smoke detector alarm at 3315 Columbia Street, 6:13 p.m.
JANUARY 28
· A motor vehicle accident with spill at Grape Street and MacArthur Road, brought out Station 36, 6:53 p.m.
