Coplay police are investigating a motor vehicle accident which took place Feb. 9 at the Giant Food parking lot, Cherry & Chestnut streets.
Police said a Chevrolet owned by John Guy of Walnutport was struck by another vehicle. Guy's vehicle was parked in the lot, police said. The driver of the second vehicle was not released by police.
The patrol officer spoke to two individuals who witnessed the accident who have provided police with information regarding the driver of the second vehicle.
Parking dispute
Police responded Feb. 5 to a dispute between neighbors in the 100 block of South Third Street.
One resident told police he shoveled snow for a parking space in front of his home and placed a cone at the site. He told police he left the parking space and on returning home later, the cone was missing.
Fire alarm
activated
A fire alarm was set off at the Columbia House, 1-5 S. Second St., due to the installation of a new system.
Police and the borough fire department responded to the call.
Dispute reported
Police were called Feb. 5 to the 100 block of Oak Street to investigate a disturbance between two friends.
Police said they were able to restore order.
Police later transported one of the individuals to her residence in Northampton.
