Upper L. Lions Club celebrates 66th charter anniversary

Members of the Upper Lehigh Lions Club celebrated their 66th charter anniversary Nov. 13 with a dinner meeting at the Northern Valley Emergency Services social hall, Ormrod.

The club organized in 1947, just 30 years after Lions Clubs International began in Chicago, Ill.

Charter President was Lion Arthur Henry. There have been 64 members who have followed as club presidents.

Upper Lehigh Lions is one of 38 clubs in District 14-K, within Lehigh and Northampton counties, and one of 46,000 clubs in the world.

The 75-member club is always eager to welcome both men and women as new members to further service to the community.
