Township officials were on hand at the 36th annual tree lighting ceremony Dec. 7 at the municipal building, 4444 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall.

The choir from St. Joseph the Worker Church, under the direction of David Knerr, entertained the crowd with carols and anthems for the season.

Santa arrived in a Cetronia Fire Department aerial truck, ready to share joy with the children and families present.

South Whitehall Township police, Cetronia Ambulance personnel, Greenawalds, Woodlawn and Cetronia fire departments all escorted Santa to the ceremony.
