Police ask public's help to identify bank robber

Upper Macungie Township police are asking for the public's help in identifying a bank robber.

The bank robbery occurred 1:15 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Bank of America, 7720 Main St., Fogelsville.

The bank robber is a white male, 30 to 40 years old.

He was wearing an OD green (or dark colored) field jacket over a bright blue shirt, blue jeans and a white baseball cap with "Polo Sport Athletics" written on the front.

He was last seen with a single-strap, dark-colored satchel over his shoulder.

The man entered the bank's main entrance and proceeded to a teller, where he allegedly demanded money, police say.

He did not display a weapon but allegedly threatened to use one if the teller did not give him the cash.

The man was given money and walked out of the bank after placing the cash in his satchel.

He was then seen getting into a silver, possibly white colored pickup truck before driving away, police say.

State police and the FBI assisted at the scene.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery or the suspect is asked to call police at 484-661-5911 or Lehigh County Radio at 610-437-5252.
