Lehigh County Senior Center, Allentown, presented a free Veterans Day Concert Nov. 11 featuring the Good Vibrations Chorus and Elm Street Jazz Band.

Good Vibrations performed 20 minutes of patriotic music prior to the Elm Street Jazz band performing songs honoring veterans.

"We are not only dedicating the music to veterans but we are dedicating it to a member we recently lost, Lucy Grim," said Larry William, music director for Good Vibrations Chorus.

Allan Meyerson, music director for the Elm Street Jazz Band, also spoke with The Press.

"The band will be playing a half hour of music from the different eras '40s, '50s and '60s," Meyerson said.

Prior to the concert, U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Hank Kudzik of Northampton, dressed in his class A uniform, spoke with The Press.

"It is Veterans Day," Kudzik said. "From here we (with wife Jackie) are going to the Lehigh County Government Center then to Penn State."

Vietnam veteran David Nous of Allentown said he came to the concert to listen to his wife Nydia sing.

After the concert, veterans and guests were invited to stay for light refreshments and conversation.
