Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Fourth and Pine streets, is planning a rip-roarin', boot scootin' Son West Round Up. In other words, it's time for vacation Bible school.

Stories, games, crafts and the best cowpoke snacks on this side of the Lehigh River will begin 6:15 p.m. June 24-28.

Lassoing and galloping will last until 8:15 p.m., so participants should wear their best cowboy hat.

Arrive early June 24 to sign up and get the best choice in horses.

St. Paul's Evangelical Church, 417 Howertown Road, will host its community yard sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, in the parking lot across the street from the church. A used book sale and bake sale will take place as well.

The Catasauqua American Legion is creating a brick wall memorial in the hallway leading to the downstairs bar and bowling area. A brick may be engraved with three lines for a donation of $50.
