The annual Paw Prints on the Canal will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Canal Park.

It will be held rain or shine.

The event is sponsored by the borough and benefits the Northampton Police Department's K-9 force.

St. John's Friendly Fifties will meet 1 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the church's social hall, 1343 Newport Ave.

Donna Parsons, a Reba McIntyre impersonator, will entertain.

The Northampton Area Public Library and the Friends of NAPL will be holding the annual Family Fun Day 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 1.

Goody bags will be available for the children and the event will include sand art, Rita's Italian Ice, balloon animals and more.

Registration for the summer children's programs will also begin that day. Choose from Toddler Storytime (age 2); Creative Preschoolers Storytime (age 3 through entering kindergarten); Kindergarten Countdown (for children entering kindergarten); Toddler/Preschool Family Storytime and Storycraft (those who have completed kindergarten through grade 2); Art and Books (completed grades 3-5); and Readers' Theater (any grade level).

Sign-ups will also be held for the library's summer reading club for children age 2 through grade 5 completed. Participants earn prizes every week for reading at home. Other summer programs include Family Time June 13, Science Tellers July 10 and the End of Summer Parties Aug. 15.

The Friends of the Northampton Area Public Library is sponsoring a chartered bus trip to Adventure Aquarium, Camden, N.J., on Friday, June 21.

The Northampton Memorial Community Center, 16th Street and Laubach Avenue, hosts bingo every Monday night.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m.
