LVC track bests released

The Lehigh Valley Conference released its first list of track and field top performances for the 2013 season as of Monday, April 22, and the Kids are well-represented.

For the boys, Kory DeCesaris has the top-four throws in the shot this year, his best being a 51-1.25. Jake Wygant of Whitehall is next with his best a 47-8. The Kids Jarrett Fenon is third with a 46-7.

Fenon is tops in the discus with a throw of 138-2 while teammate DeCesaris is third with a 132-2.

DeCesaris is second in the javelin with a 165-7, just off Nick Nejad's (Whitehall) top throw of 169-9.

Alec Lederer is third in the 3200 with a time of 10:12.5. Colin Abert of Easton leads the way with a 9:52.

For the girls, Jennifer Perry has the top-two times in the 3200 run with 11:33.3 and 11:53.7. The next fastest time is Shaina Palmer of Freedom at 11:56.

Perry is fifth in the 1600 run with a time of 5:30.60, just under seven seconds off the pace of 5:23 set by Hanna Brosky of Emmaus.

Allison Horn is third in the 100 hurdles with a 15.20, just .20 behind Ashley Williams of Easton. Erica Filipovits is fifth with a 15.50.

Filipovits is fourth in the high jump with a 5-2, just off the 5-5 posted by Nazareth's Jane Lukas. Olivia Walters is fifth in the triple jump for the Kids with a 34-1.25 as Kelly Roberton (Parkland) leads the way with a 36-5.

Hannah Marth has the top stop in the javelin with a throw of 116-7, which is ahead of Jordan Luciano of Easton who is second with a 104-4.
