More than 200 members of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard's 213th Area Support Group, their wives, children and friends attended last December's Christmas party at the Gen. Charles Curtis National Guard Armory, 15th and Allen Streets, South Whitehall.

The group gave a standing ovation to Col. Glenn T. Nissley, who commanded the 228th Forward Support Battalion of 700 soldiers in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, June 2005 through 2006.

This year, Nissley assumed his new duties with the Joint Force Headquarters J4 at Indiantown Gap Military Headquarters.

Nissley was cited for his support and subsequent approval to have Post 12099 housed and meet in the Armory.
