A 43-year-old Kutztown woman was critically injured Jan. 7 when her vehicle collided with tractor-trailer on Route 222, Maxatawny Township, State Police Troop L Reading say.

Police say Lisa Walker was driving a 2002 Jeep Cherokee northbound on Route 222 between Church and Grim roads when it traveled into the oncoming lane at 7:10 a.m. and hit a 2007 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, driven by Mitchell Brenner, 55, of Sinking Spring.

The tractor was pulling a 2001 Heil tanker.

According to police, Brenner, who police say was wearing a seat belt, also sustained injuries and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.
