Thefts from vehicles reported

Berks-Lehigh Regional Police are investigating several thefts.

According to Criminal Investigator Peter Nickischer, sometime during the overnight hours of Nov. 24-25, numerous vehicles in Upper Macungie Township were broken into, ransacked or had cash and change stolen from inside.

This includes vehicles in the 200 and 300 block of Hopewell Drive, 6000 block of Hemlock Road, 200 block of Burrell Boulevard, zero hundred block of Kraft Drive and 6400 block of Fugazzotto Drive.

Police say a homeowner in the 100 block of Burrell Boulevard reported he inadvertently left his garage door open around 10:45 p.m. Nov. 24 and both his vehicles were entered and cash was stolen.

On Nov. 25, a resident of the 6700 block of Windermere Court reported his silver 2008 Hyundai Elantra was stolen from his driveway.

Police do not know if the vehicle was locked at the time it was stolen.

Anyone with information about these thefts is asked to contact BLRPD at 610-683-8740.
