Kyle Sorensen, of Weisenberg Township, a 2011 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, was named to the spring dean's list at DeSales University.

A sports and exercise science major, he is the son of LeRoy and Louise Sorensen.

Brian Carroll Friel's family attended his June graduation from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Erie.

He will be completing a residency in internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Brian is a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh.

He is the son of Susan J. and James J. Friel of Whitehall.
