LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Lowhill Township

The new addition at the Christ's Church at Lowhill Food Pantry has been working well providing added storage, and space for the families coming in to register.

The Blessings Shop, located downstairs, is overflowing with clothes.

Household items, such as towels, bedding, small appliances and kitchen goods are needed.

The pantry will post pictures of furniture and arrange contact between the individuals, if you want to donate something.

Thanksgiving is fast approaching. Plans are being made to provide turkey, ham and a grocery bag full of items to go with the holiday meal.

If you have a turkey or ham to donate, call the food pantry at 610-298-2054.

The pantry, which is gathering information from parents concerning gifts for their children, would like to provide each child with three gifts.

There are 130 children registered so far. Please consider helping to make Christmas great for these kids.

Once again, Lonnie Damiano is providing stockings filled with goodies for the kids.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, email Bev Moyer at bevm6633@hotmail.com.

To help with the stockings, email Lonnie at lonnied@lencpas.com.

According to Joe Mitlyng and Terry Ryan- Mitlyng, a new sign was recently installed at the food pantry. Many people contributed, including Grant Mertz of Mertz Sign, who donated the sign. Ken Kistler donated the concrete "feet" from his company Perma-Column East. Chris Hamil, who was in charge of landscaping as part of his Eagle Scout Project, attached the feet to the wood posts and helped put the sign in place.

Vince Fugazzotto, a teacher at Northwestern Lehigh, dug the holes for the sign.
