Parkland Community Library will be hosting Michele McLaughlin for a program featuring an extensive trunk show highlighting the impact quilting has made on American culture and politics 7 p.m. Oct. 18.
The adult Books into Movies group will be discussing "Jurassic Park," by Michael Crichton 7 p.m. Oct. 24.
Fall Family Storytime for children ages 18 months to 3 years will take place 10:30-11 a.m. Oct. 18 and Oct. 24.
Younger and older siblings may attend. An adult must stay with each child. There will be stories, songs and games for the whole family to share.
Space is limited, so registration is required.
Fall Preschool Storytimes for children ages 3-5 will be 1-1:30 p.m. Oct. 18 and Oct. 24.
Parents must stay in the library but do not have to attend storytime with their children. There will be stories, songs, games and crafts.

The library will be having drop-in storytime for families with children of different ages 10:30-11 a.m. Oct. 19.

Upper Macungie Township will be having trick-or-treat night 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 26.
The township and the Pa. Game Commission will be offering a free Hunter/Trapper Education Course 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 20 and 21 at Independent Park, 150 Independent Road, Breinigsville.

Ziegels United Church of Christ, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Brein-igsville, will be having a chicken potpie supper from 4:30-7 p.m. Oct. 20.
The meal includes chicken potpie, cole slaw, applesauce, dessert and beverage.
All are welcome to attend.
Proceeds benefit the family of Wyatt Newhard, who are church members, to help with medical and travel expenses as he battles stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer.

The church will be having its third annual trunk or treat to provide a safe place for the children to trick or treat 6:30-8 p.m. Oct. 27 in the parking lot.
Prizes will be awarded for trunk decorating, beginning at 6 p.m.
Donations of candy, cupcakes, cookies, juice, hot chocolate and cider are welcome.

Everyone is invited to wear their pajamas to Sunday School and worship Pajama Sunday Oct. 28.
Bring a new pair of pajamas for a child in need and place them in the collection box upstairs near the elevator.
All donations will be given to the Christ's Church at Lowhill Food Pantry Blessings Shop.
Members of the confirmation class are sponsoring a clothing drive from Oct. 28-Nov. 8 to raise funds for their activities.
Clothing, purses, belts, shoes, bedding, linens, curtains, bikes, stuffed toys and hard plastic toys, which will fit in a 24-inch by 24-inch by 21-inch box, are being accepted. Bag shoes separately.
Donations will be sent to developing countries.
