Jason Henry, who has served as Parkland School District coordinator of educational technology and Classrooms for the Future coach, has been appointed curriculum supervisor of secondary education at an annual salary of $95,000.

He replaces James Moniz who was named high school principal.

In his new position, Henry will work with principals and teachers to maintain and improve kindergarten through grade 12 program of studies.

He will also conduct professional development workshops focusing on continuous improvement of classroom instruction.

Henry earned his Bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University, a technology specialist certificate from DeSales University, and a Master's degree and principal's certificate from Wilkes University.

Prior to his involvement in administration, Henry taught secondary math for 12 years.

Superintendent Richard Sniscak offered comments on Henry's qualifications.

"Jason's varied experiences, dynamic leadership skills, strong communication and decision-making skills, and background in technology will be a tremendous asset to this role and to the team in the curriculum and instruction department," Sniscak said. "We look forward to Jason's contributions as he leads our secondary staff to achieve important curriculum and instruction goals for the district and our students."
