Zion's Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, is having its annual fall festival from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 15.

There will be a flea market and craft sale, lemonade and food stands.

Kauffman's BBQ chickens will be on the menu, along with baked goods.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, is celebrating Harvest Home at both worship services on Sept. 9.

This year's theme is squash, but they need all types of produce to make the display beautiful.

Parkland Community Library will begin registration for its seven-week fall family and preschool story times at 10 a.m. on Sept. 10.

Night at the movies will take place 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in the South Whitehall Township Building.

Join Dr. Scott Hanton from Intertek for a resume workshop 7-8 p.m. Sept 12.

The library is having a daddy and me storytime for children ages 2 to 5 from 10:30-11 a.m. Sept. 15.

Baby storytime for newborns to 1 year olds will take place 10:30-11 a.m. Sept. 19.

Older siblings may attend. An adult must stay with each child.

The book group for adults will meet 7-8:30 p.m. Sept. 19 to discuss "Zoo Story: Life in the Garden of Captives" by Thomas French.

New members are welcome. Space is limited and registration is required for the resumé workshop and story times.

St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1249 Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown, will be holding Rally Day at 9 a.m. Sept. 9.

Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Criminal Investigator Pete Nickischer will speak on back-to-school safety.

Children are invited to bring their backpacks for a special blessing of the backpacks. A back-to-school gift bag will be given to all the children.

Ice cream sundaes will be served immediately following the service.

St. John's United Church of Christ, 1027 Church St., Fogelsville, is having Rally Day and a family picnic on Sept. 9.

The picnic will take place after the 10:30 a.m. worship service in the upper pavilion at Brein-igsville Park.

Busy Bees will provide the hot dogs and the church will supply the paper and plastic wear.

Bring a side dish or dessert to share and don't forget your sporting equipment for a game of volleyball or softball.

St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8227 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown, will be having an "Under the Big Top" Rally Day 9:15 a.m. Sept. 9.

There will be carnival and circus-themed snacks, activities and crafts.

A blessing of backpacks will take place during both worship services that day.

All teachers and students are invited to bring their backpacks or book bags to worship.

The Rev. Laura L. Stoneback is offering a blessing of pets Sept. 9 at the Cloud Nine Pet Cemetery, 9923 Old Route 22, Breinigsville.

Program begins 1 p.m. with the blessing at 2 p.m.

The church is having a potluck lunch and Amish Horseshoe tournament at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 16.
