As summer comes to an end so does Camp Whitehall. This summer has truly been filled with lots of fun.

The theme for the final week was slumber party, a theme that all of the campers as well as the counselors love. On Monday, we started out with a few rounds of jump the river. Afterward, we continued the day with games like duck, duck goose and dodge ball before heading to the pool in the afternoon.

Tuesday was an extra special day because Camp Cementon got to go to the Jefferson playground to have a sleepover with Camp Jefferson. First, the day started out with some playing on the playground and then continued into a relay race and then some more dodge ball. The games were very interesting and it was great to see how well both camps got along. After the campers grew tired of the games, everyone came inside to relax while watching "The Little Rascals."

On Wednesday, we went to The Roxy in Northampton to see the Disney movie "Brave." It was such a great movie and everyone enjoyed it! Once we got back to camp, we ate lunch and then played a quick round of freeze dance before going to the pool.

As Thursday came along, we continued to play some of the campers' favorite games. We also did our craft for the week. The girls painted wands and the boys created their own shields. Instead of going to the pool in the afternoon, we took a trip to meet some friends from the Wildlands Conservancy. While on our trip, we met lots of animals and learned some fun and interesting facts about those animals.

To close out the week, on Friday both camps were at Cementon for the day. Though it was miserable outside, the weather did not put a damper on our spirits for the last day of camp. We played games such as four square, dodge ball, and cops and robbers. Since the rain kept us inside, we watched "The Sandlot" and ate some popcorn.

At the end of the day, we gave out our usual camper of the week awards to Andrew N. and Kira H.

Also, we give out an award to the two best campers who have been at camp all summer. This award is called the camper of the summer and the winners were Nathan C. and Kayla H.
