The Kempton Fire Company is accepting monetary donations for Deputy Chief Ethan Kunkel.

Kunkel was diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing treatment.

Checks may be made payable to Kempton Fire Company Firefighter Support.

On June 9, the Kempton Fire Company firefighters will be hosting a benefit dinner, comedy show and live auction at the Kempton Fire Company banquet hall.

The event is 21 and older. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will go directly to the Kunkel family. Tickets are $50 per person and will be reserved seating with a limited number of tickets.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with cash bar and appetizers. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

Firefighters are also collecting donations for the family of Patrick Florkowski, son of Kempton Fire Company Truck Crew members Jessica and Rich Florkowski.

Patrick was enjoying the day at an MDA fundraiser when he suffered a fall and subsequent complications.

He is currently recovering in Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
