Sunny Sweeney, opens for Blake Shelton, 7 p.m. Aug. 29, Fairgrounds Grandstand, at the Allentown Fair. Sweeney was born Sunny Michaela Sweeney Dec. 7, 1976, in Houston, Tex. She moved to New York City to join a comedy troupe, but moved back to Texas and instead chose a country music career. The singer-songwriter released her debut album, "Heartbreaker's Hall of Fame," in 2007. It included the singles "If I Could," "Ten Years Pass" and "East Texas Pines." Her second studio album, "Concrete," released last summer, includes the singles "From A Table Away," "Staying's Worse Than Leaving" and "Drink Myself Single." Sweeney and Jeff Helmer married Nov. 11, 2011, in Las Vegas.
