Liberty swimmers defeat So. Lehigh

Liberty’s girls’ swim team defeated Southern Lehigh, 110-76, and Liberty’s boys also defeated Solehi, 89-81, last Tuesday at Liberty.

Sammy Taylor, Abby Mack, Talia Lehr, and Sarah Park opened the meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay in 1:54.12.

Mack went on to win the 200 free in 2:00.32. Brooke Sergent took first place in the 200 IM in 2:21.26, and Addison Collins won the same event in 2:03.49.

Park won the 50 free in 26.47, Lehr came in first in the 100 butterfly in 1:03.42, and Patrick Gilhool also came in first in the fly in 52.90.

Taylor placed first in the 100 free in 55.17 along with Collins whose time was 49.57.

Julia Pinter won the 500 free in 5:53.69.

The Hurricanes won both 200 free relays with Maryam Mohammed, Lehr, Sergent, and Park’s time of 1:50.15, and Corbin Eisenhardt, Daniel Lader, Caleb Stein, and Ben Service’s time of 1:38.01.

Taylor took first place in the 100 backstroke in 1:00.77, and Gilhool tied for first with a time of 55.57.

Mack won the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.07, and Sean McGuire won the same event in 1:05.14.

Sergent, Maddy Drager, Taylor, and Mack closed out the meet with a first place finish in the 400 free relay in 3:52.04.
