Our dog Lizzy has always been a little moody. She will occasionally sit with her back turned to us in response to some perceived slight that we are unaware of. One day our neighbor came over to let her out. Usually, Lizzy will greet a visitor with great excitement. On this particular visit Lizzy sat in the middle of the family room floor with her back to our neighbor and refused to acknowledge her or go outside. She finally had to give up and come back later to put her out. What a strange dog!

The copy deadline for the Dec. 2 column will be Nov. 24.
