Flavor Fiesta Quick-service restaurants offer Mexican-themed menus

New restaurants are rolling into Bethlehem.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos was the spiciest addition to Bethlehem Square in Bethlehem Township Sept. 29.

The popular chain has been expanding from New York and northern New Jersey throughout the Northeast corridor.

“[The founders] wanted to sell people something crazy, something exciting, something [with] energy,” said franchisee Deepak Patil.

Patil himself exudes energy, greeting customers with his staff. The Mexican fusion concept has an allure, he said, that ranges from the diverse menu to the restaurant’s name itself.

Uniqueness is certainly its brand. And that’s why you can even order curly fries with your burrito.

Another highly friendly staff is happy to greet its customers at another Mexican restaurant that recently opened next to Starbucks on Shoenersville Road.

It held a soft opening Sept. 26.

While Taco Tek also classifies as Mexican, it’s a far cry from its vibrantly-colored counterpart.

For one, Taco Tek is halal Mexican. Halal food is in accordance with the dietary law of Islam. Step up to the counter to see the fresh ingredients, the staff will be happy to make you a burrito bowl or a traditional burrito. Other items include tacos, quesadillas and salad bowls among other popular dishes.

Stay for dessert to try an assortment of churros.
