SHS volleyball falls to Notre Dame, Pen Argyl

After getting the first win in the history of Salisbury varsity girls volleyball, the Falcons ran into a pair of tough competitors and dropped a pair of matches.

Notre Dame of Green Pond beat Salisbury 25-16, 25-5, and 25-16. Pen Argyl also beat Salisbury. The Green Knights won the first set 25-19 before Salisbury fired back with a 25-23 win to tie the match. The Knights took over from there with a pair of 25-12 wins in the remaining sets.

No individual statistics were made available for either match.

Salisbury dropped to 1-10-0 overall and 1-9-0 in the Colonial League for their inaugural season.

Things don’t get easy for the Falcons this week as they play four matches in four days, all against Colonial League opponents. They open with a match against Lehighton before facing Saucon Valley and Palmerton. The stretch wraps up against Southern Lehigh, the top team in the league with a 9-0 record.
