The Salisbury girls soccer team went into last week with hopes of reaching the District 11 2A playoffs hanging by a thread.
That thread broke when the Falcons lost to Moravian Academy 6-2. With that loss, the Falcons have no chance of finishing the season with a .500 win-loss record overall or in league play, meaning they will not qualify for the postseason in 2026.
Earlier in the week, Salisbury had an impressive 5-0 win over Catasauqua that kept their hopes alive. Five different players scored goals in the win with juniors Auriana Bobo and Lauren Scialla leading the way. Sophomores Molly Foley and Lyla Rose along with freshman Lillian Pojanowski all picked up goals in the win. Foley, Pojanowski, Rose, and Scialla also had assists.
Individual scoring statistics were not provided for the other games last week.
The Falcons have a pair of home games to finish off the season. They host Southern Lehigh and Tamaqua this week. They enter the final week of the regular season at 6-9-0 overall and 4-9-0 in Colonial League games.
